    Lead the AI/ML cloud engineering team at Evinova, an AstraZeneca HealthTech business. Partner with Data Science, Platform, application, and security teams to turn experimentation into production-ready capabilities through hands-on engineering and technical leadership.

    • Re-architected the Data Science platform: Led the redesign and implementation of SageMaker Unified Studio, Evinova's chosen Data Science platform, using infrastructure as code, governed data and model access, and GxP-qualified environments.
    • Built repeatable deployment paths: Delivered AI/ML deployment workflows and controlled model-artifact promotion; proved an end-to-end BYOM architecture with CI/CD, model deployment, and secure cross-account access.
    • Enabled data and model services: Delivered governed, self-service SFTP ingestion into the data lake and onboarded Mistral OCR with automatic failover, using benchmarks to choose between self-hosted and managed options.
    • Delivered governed interim AI traceability: Self-hosted and managed Langfuse within Evinova's governance standards as an interim solution pending selection of a long-term traceability platform; automated security updates and patching through a CI/CD workflow.
    • Automated operational controls: Delivered GxP-qualified token monitoring and automated Bedrock quota management to replace reactive manual intervention.

    Built agentic AI products and developer experiences across AWS Transform, the SEG platform, and the APEX professional-services initiative.

    • Agentic knowledge processing: Led technical architecture for APEX and delivered a Knowledge Extraction MCP Blueprint to turn customer documents into contextual knowledge bases for AI agents.
    • Agent architecture: Built a headless agent using AWS AgentCore and Strands, with DynamoDB-backed state management and staged document reception, batching, processing, and knowledge-base ingestion.
